Pinstack is close to opening its Westlake location, which will be the seventh for the Dallas-based company.

The details

The project was approved by the Westlake Town Council during a meeting on April 1, 2024, according to previous reporting.

The 53,360-square-foot venue will sit on a 5.5-acre plot of land, along the north side of Parish Lane and west of SH 170 along the Westlake-Roanoke city line, according to town documents.

The business offers bowling, arcade games, laser tag, rock climbing walls, bumper cars and a rope course as well as a full-size dining area, according to Mark Moore, president and CEO of Entertainment Properties, Inc.

“It’s a great location,” Moore said. “We’ve looked here for years and talked to Hillwood and we thought about AllianceTexas. We had many customers in Las Colinas complain to us [to open over here]; we kept waiting and we looked for 10 years.”

The newest Pinstack is divided up into three distinct parts of the building: gaming, dining and bowling.

Games

There are 100 different games inside the arcade that range from arcade games like Asteroids, Space Invaders and Pac-Man to virtual reality, ticket games and even pinball games, according to general manager Nathan White.

The gaming area also has eight bumper cars, a two-story laser tag area and rock climbing walls that have different levels of difficulties, he said.

There will also be free outdoor games located next to the patio of the dining area. White said those games will feature life-size chess, a 2-foot Jenga game and cornhole.

According to the website, video games are half price on Tuesdays.

Drink/dessert bar

Between the bowling alley and arcade is a drink and dessert bar. The dessert bar will feature items such as cake pops, pudding cups and is headlined by 32-ounce stacked milkshakes that come with an alcohol-infused option.

The bar wraps around to a private VIP suite.

The public-facing part of the bowling alley bar features 24 beers and 12 wines on tap. There will also be bottles of wine for purchase and a rare whiskey program that is sold by the ounce, White said.

Bowling

Pinstack features 28 full-size bowling lanes, 20 for the general public and eight in a private VIP suite.

The suite lanes feature Brunswick Spark, an immersive bowling game that can be customized with logos of a company for private parties, White said.

If the VIP suite is not reserved, it is open to the general public for players 21 years old or older after 8 p.m. each day, said Leigh Ann Hatchett, director of marketing for Entertainment Properties, Inc.

The 20 lanes can also be reserved for events and curtains can be used to divide the lanes, White said. The business also offers early bird bowling from open to noon each day for $10 per hour, according to the website.

Dining

The Westlake Pinstack has two full kitchen lines, one for the bowling alley and the other to service the dining room. The bar will serve margaritas, cocktails, mocktails and adult shakes, according to the menu.

The dining room has a U-shaped bar that has 24 beers and 12 wines on tap on both sides.

The menu features fajita and wing platters, burgers, pizza, salads and appetizers, including the newly introduced cheeseburger egg rolls, Hatchett said.

Moore noted two of the signature items, including the Haggard Farm salad, named after the family that sold his company the land to open the Plano location. There is also the kingpin pizza, a 36-inch pie that takes two tables pushed together to hold.

What else?

Moore said the current staff at the Westlake location is in place and is working at the other Dallas-area locations in advance of opening.

Moore said a solid opening date hasn’t been decided as of March 1.

“We are at the 1-yard line,” he said.
