1. Grapevine fireworks show


The city of Grapevine celebrates Independence Day with the 35th annual July 4th fireworks extravaganza. Free (note some private businesses or private docks/parks may charge a parking or entrance fee of which the Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau or City of Grapevine has no control over). 9:30 p.m. Lake Grapevine. 2. Southlake's Stars & Stripes


The event features live music on two stages in Southlake Town Square: Family Park and Frank Edgar Cornish, IV Park. Guests will experience live performances by the Southlake Community Band, Empty Pockets Country Band, Limelight Band and various patriotic ceremonies throughout the event. Kids of all ages will be able to create patriotic crafts in the Creation Station, and the KidZone will offer exciting outdoor activities such as dual inflatable slides, inflatable obstacles and inflatable midway games. Free shuttle services will be available at White’s Chapel Methodist Church and Gateway Church, with round-trip rides to and from McPherson Park from 3:30 p.m. to 11:45 p.m. Free. 6-11 p.m. (fireworks start at 9:30 p.m.). www.visitsouthlaketexas.com/296/Stars-Stripes-2017
