Although fall is upon us, that does not mean the summer fun has to stop. This weekend there are festivals, community sales and concerts that Grapevine, Colleyville and Southlake residents can take part in.

1. Haunted Trail Fest
This event features a trip along a wooded path filled with scary creatures, spooky sounds and ghostly special effects. Children can participate in a costume contest and games to win prizes. Trail activities cater to younger children from 7-7:30 p.m.; the fright factor intensifies after 7:30 p.m. 7-9 p.m. Free. 2. Butterfly Flutterby
The day begins with a butterfly costume parade that starts at East Wall and Jenkins streets. Registration for the parade begins at 8:45 a.m. After the parade, guests can partake in butterfly crafts, exhibits, the Migration Station, a scavenger hunt and face painting in the botanical gardens. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Free. 3. Grapevine Garden Club plant sale
The Grapevine Garden Club partners with Grapevine Parks and Recreation for its fall sale in conjunction with the annual Butterfly Flutterby and Nash Farm Fall Round-Up events. The sale features native and adapted trees, shrubs, perennials, butterfly hosts and nectar plants appropriate for the area. Citizen Foresters will be available for consultation. 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Free. 4. Zack King Band concert
Guests can enjoy a free concert at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens featuring the Zack King Band. The Peel food truck will be onsite selling wood-fire pizzas. Guests are welcome to bring their own food, blankets and chairs. Dogs are allowed on a leash. All ages are welcome. 7-9 p.m. Free.
