Officials with the city of Frisco are asking residents to minimize water usage as the city nears record water usage this week.

Residents are advised to only water once this week on their regularly scheduled watering day, which coincides with the day trash is collected. City officials are asking residents to set irrigation controllers to run before 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m. to help minimize water loss due to evaporation.

City officials also suggest alternative watering methods such as hand-held hoses, drip lines and tree bubblers to water lawn during the summer months. Additional information can be found at www.friscotexas.gov/water
