A new traffic signal is now operating at a north Frisco intersection.

The gist

Work to install and activate a traffic signal at Coit Road and Hardy Drive has finished, according to a Sept. 3 city news release.

Drivers in the area are urged to use caution at the intersection as people adjust to the change, which included removing nearby stop signs, according to the release.

Installing the signal cost $250,000 funded by the city, according to the city's capital improvement project dashboard.

Anything else?

The Coit Road and Hardy Drive signal is just south of another city project to add new traffic signals at the following intersections:
  • Coit Road and Prestwick Hollow Drive
  • Gaylord Parkway and Network Boulevard
  • Gaylord Parkway and a private driveway

Designs for the traffic signals at those intersections should finish before the end of 2024, according to the project dashboard. Construction is then expected to wrap up in late 2025.
