Frisco announced Aug. 13 that a portion of the far north lane of Gaylord Parkway had been closed for repairs after an unplanned pavement issue.

A city news release said the repair work was needed because of a "pavement blow out" on the outside lane of Gaylord Parkway near Dallas Parkway. The city's website states work to repair the pavement on the westbound road is expected to be completed within the next two weeks, weather permitting.

City staff urged motorists to use caution when driving near the work zone.
