Comerica Center’s selection as Dallas Pulse’s home court aligns with the city of Frisco’s mission to brand itself as “Sports City USA.”

Dallas Pulse joins a number of sports teams that call Frisco home, including the Dallas Cowboys, FC Dallas and the PGA of America, according to the Frisco Economic Development Corp.'s website.

The background

Major League Volleyball, or MLV, unveiled the team’s name, logo and home court in October ahead of the 2026 season. This will be MLV’s first season since its unification with the Pro Volleyball Federation, and its third season overall.

Dallas Pulse had the first selection at the 2025 MLV Draft on Nov. 24, where they picked up Mimi Colyer, an outside hitter at the University of Wisconsin and American Volleyball Coaches Association Player of the Year semifinalist.

The team is coached by Shannon Winzer, the former head coach of the Canadian and Australian women’s national volleyball teams.

Quote of note

“The atmosphere at a professional volleyball match is unlike anything else,” said Grady Raskin, Dallas Pulse CEO and president, in a news release. “It’s fast, it’s loud, and it pulls you in.”
