The organization will conduct a community meal delivery from 9-11 a.m. April 30 from its facility at 600 N. Tennessee St., McKinney. Meals on Wheels said in a news release that about 100 volunteers are needed to deliver 3,000 meals.
CEO and Executive Director Zella Tyson said in the release that volunteers are “the backbone of Meals on Wheels.” The organization plans to deliver more meals, supplies and "much-needed social interaction" for area seniors than ever before, according to the release.
“We could not do this without the hard work they provide,” Tyson said. “They are making an unforgettable difference.”
