The opening of the 1,650-square-foot cafe was delayed by nearly a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a news release. It will include a drive-thru and a “globally inspired” menu with custom roasted and handcrafted coffees, whole-leaf teas, desserts, pastries and sandwiches.
A charity event benefiting Frisco Family Services will be held Feb. 19, according to the release. The event will run from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and 50% of sales will go to the organization. Sweetwaters will also collect toiletries, feminine hygiene and cleaning products throughout the event.
Sweetwaters will remain open after the event then hold a weeklong grand opening celebration from Feb. 26-March 4. Customers will be offered daily discounts throughout the week.
A ribbon-cutting is scheduled for 3 p.m. March 3. Normal business hours and the full menu will be available, the release stated.
