Lone Star Theatre Company is a youth performing arts organization that will hold shows at the theater at 6711 Oak St.
“We’re seeking to provide quality, enjoyable and accessible theater both for youth and adults for Frisco and beyond,” Executive Producer Randy Archambault said.
Archambault said he has been planning Lone Star Theatre Company since November 2019. Those plans were delayed by COVID-19, he said, but he added the organization is now preparing to set the stage.
The company’s opening show will be “Heathers The Musical: Teen Edition.” Audition sign-ups from high school-age students are currently being accepted, and opening night is May 6. In addition, he said Shakespearean shows are being planned for the summer.
Archambault also said performances by both children and adults are a future possibility. Moreover, he said his organization is starting out in Nack Theater, but he has long-term aspirations to eventually bring performances to other regions and follow potential, future establishments built by Nack Development.
