The project will add 30 new patient rooms once the seventh floor is built out, according to a June 10 press release. The renovation is part of the hospital’s planned growth since opening in 2019.
The renovation is expected to be completed in fall 2026. Patient care will not be affected during the construction, the release stated.
“We understand that earning and keeping the trust of our patients and neighbors requires not only excellent care, but access when they need it,” said Tiffany Northern, president of Texas Health Frisco, in the release. “This expansion enables us to continue to meet those needs today and into the future.”
Looking back
The hospital completed a build out of its sixth floor designated for gynecology, spine, urology and bariatrics patients, which added 30 beds and two operating rooms, in 2022. In October 2024, the hospital opened its third third gastroenterology suite to accommodate the need for digestive health services, the release stated.
“In just the six short years since opening its doors, Texas Health Frisco has become an integral part of the community,” said Kirk King, chief operating officer of Hospital Channel for Texas Health, in the release. “We are honored to have so many residents of Frisco and the surrounding communities put their trust in us for their healthcare needs.”
