The hospital is just one part of a 40-acre campus outfitted with medical offices and future growth potential, hospital officials said.
At the new facility, an entire floor is dedicated to women’s services outfitted with a private elevator and door, said Christin Timmons, the hospital’s vice president and chief nursing officer.
“I feel like [women’s services] is so unique to this facility,” Timmons said. “There’s a lot of growing families in this community and the communities that we’re going to serve.”
Each room is outfitted with a tablet that has information regarding patients, such as fall risk warnings that typically are shown publicly at other facilities, Timmons said.
The women’s floor also offers an emergency room specifically for expectant mothers and its own operating rooms. The operating room connects to both the labor and delivery wing, postpartum and the neonatal intensive care unit. This allows the families to stay on one floor and ease their stay, Timmons said.
“We are patient and family focused,” she said.

Baylor is the largest not-for-profit health system in Texas, said Ryan Gephart, president of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Frisco at PGA Parkway. The health system has several other hospitals and facilities located in Frisco already operational. Baylor Health has three other existing locations in Frisco, including two hospitals and one Sports Therapy & Research Center at The Star.
“Our investment in this 40-acre campus is our answer to the explosive growth we are seeing in North Texas,” Gephart said in an email. “The city of Frisco has grown by nearly 7% each year, according to the Frisco Economic Development Corporation, and multiple corporate or regional headquarters have moved to the city in the past few years. These families and professionals need a strong healthcare infrastructure to thrive, and Baylor Scott & White is ready to increase our service to the community.”
The new Baylor campus will have a parking garage and medical office, which is nearly full, that will come online the same time as the hospital with more growth slated for the future.
“Every time you blink there is a new building going up,” said Jason Ford, Frisco Economic Development Corporation president, at an April development summit. “The way they do it is we all push past limitations. We do extraordinary things in this community.”
Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney said during a June 10 State of the City event that the medical campus will be under constant phased construction for the next five to 10 years.
“It’s a beautiful new facility,” he said.
The takeaway
Surgical services will include six operating rooms, specialized labs for gastroenterology, bronchoscopy and interventional radiology, along with advanced robotic technologies, Gephart said. Care will also be available for patients with cardiovascular conditions, digestive diseases, neurological conditions, as well as orthopedic and spine care needs.
“The campus will feature more than 2 miles of trails, a playscape for families and green space,” he said. “The goal is to blend high-quality care with community-centered innovation—opening a new door to lifelong wellness.”
A heart hospital is currently under construction at the new Baylor campus and it is expected to open in February 2027. Until it opens, heart procedures will be done in the medical center.
“We're in a unique place that we're building a campus that's going to grow with the communities that are around us,” Timmons said. “As they grow, we will continue to grow ... we want to be part of the community family and just kind of grow up together.”
