Medical City Frisco has expanded its services after seeing year-over-year increases in visits.

The hospital is adding capacity in the emergency room and the women’s services unit, according to a May 30 Medical City news release.

The details

Two new patient rooms were added to the emergency department, which has seen an influx in visits year over year. These visits have increased by more than 12%, according to the release.

The women’s services unit also opened a new operating room, which should allow for more efficient care in closer proximity to the delivery area of the hospital. Medical City Frisco has seen an increase in deliveries of more than 20% year over year, according to the release.

These expansions are part of a broader $1.7 million initiative by Medical City Healthcare, which also includes facility enhancements and new technology.

What they’re saying

“With increased patient volumes, these new care spaces will allow Medical City Frisco to continue to meet the growing needs of the community,” said Ken Stevens, CEO of Medical City Frisco, in a news release.
