BasePoint Academy opened in Frisco, Marketing Director Gina Thorne said.

BasePoint Academy is an outpatient program that provides behavioral health and substance use treatment for clients ages 11-35 years old. Day and evening treatment are available. Complimentary assessments are offered daily.

BasePoint provides a partial hospitalization program and intensive outpatient services.

“Clients can build trust with our team while finding their purpose, learning healthy boundaries and coping skills, and practicing these skills with their peers, while also addressing academics with our education counselor,” Thorne said in an email.

BasePoint Academy offers a complimentary mental health and substance use assessment to families that may be seeing the following signs and symptoms from their teen:
  • depression
  • anxiety
  • isolation
  • anger outburst
  • difficulty concentrating
  • loss of appetite
  • academic decline
  • self harming behavior
  • truancy
  • alcohol or drug use

The staff at BasePoint Academy is made up of licensed professional counselors, nurse practitioners and led by Medical Director Dr. Kimberly Dobbins, who is double board certified in adult and child psychiatry.

There are currently BasePoint Academy locations in Arlington, Forney and McKinney.
