Medical City Healthcare is partnering with local law enforcement officials in October to dispose of any unused or expired medications collected from community members.

What you need to know

Local law enforcement officers will set up drive-thrus at six Medical City hospitals for the Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Oct. 28. Community members will have a chance to safely and anonymously dispose of any prescription or over-the-counter medications at the following hospitals:
  • Medical City Arlington, main entrance
  • Medical City Dallas, building A2 entrance
  • Medical City Denton, professional building entrance
  • Medical City Frisco, main entrance
  • Medical City Las Colinas, main entrance
  • McKinney Police Department in partnership with Medical City McKinney


The details

Law enforcement officers will collect medication on location between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Officers will also accept ointments, lotions, drops, liquid medication in a leak-proof container, vape cartridges without batteries and pet medications, according to a Medical City Healthcare news release.


Officers will not accept:
  • Needles
  • Syringes
  • Lancets
  • Illegal drugs
