Collin County residents pay property taxes to various entities, including to the city they live in, the school district, Collin College and to the county.

While cities in the county have already began setting the tax rates for fiscal year 2025-26, city officials in Celina, Frisco, Plano and Prosper are still discussing potential tax rate options.

Here is a list of the FY 2025-26 tax rates within Community Impact's Collin County coverage areas. Cities and school districts are listed in alphabetical order.

Collin County

County commissioners voted to maintain the FY 2045-25 property tax rate of $0.149343 per $100 valuation. Adoption of the new rate marks the 33rd year without a tax rate increase in Collin County, according to a presentation at the meeting.

Collin College

The college’s board of trustees unanimously approved a tax rate of $0.08122 per $100 valuation. This is the fourth year in a row the college has operated at this tax rate, according to Collin County tax records.

Celina

City officials are proposing a property tax decrease from $0.64 to $0.576401 per $100 valuation. Despite this, the average tax bill for residents is expected to increase by $7 a month due to rising property valuations.

Celina ISD

The district’s tax rate is $1.2089 per $100 of assessed value. This rate is just under a 3% reduction in taxes for the CISD community, CISD officials said.

Frisco

The tax rate is proposed to remain flat at $0.425517 per $100 valuation. This rate could raise more revenue from property taxes than last year's by $6.2 million, a 3.2% increase because of new property and higher valuations.

Frisco ISD

The new tax rate is $1.0194 per $100 of assessed value. The average homeowner in Frisco ISD could see their tax bills reduced by $279 with the district’s new tax rate.

McKinney

The property tax rate is $0.412284 per $100 valuation, a slight decrease from last year’s $0.415513 per $100 valuation.

McKinney ISD

The total rate approved by the board is $1.1043 per $100 valuation, a $0.0209 decrease from FY 2024-25’s rate of $1.1252 per $100 valuation. With the new tax rate and increased homestead exemption, the tax bill for the average single-family home will total $4,839, which is just over $500 less than the property tax bill for the average single-family home the prior year.

Plano

Plano residents could see higher property tax bills as City Council members consider approving the proposed ceiling of $0.4406 per $100 valuation. The change from the current $0.4176 rate to $0.4406 would add approximately $248 on the average homeowner’s tax bill, according to city documents.

Plano ISD

The new rate of $1.03955 per $100 of assessed value was approved by the PISD board of trustees. The 2025-26 rate is a decrease from 2024-25’s rate $1.04245 per $100 of assessed value.

Prosper

Prosper residents can expect to see a flat property tax rate in the upcoming fiscal year after Town Council set a $0.505 tax ceiling—matching last year’s rate—ahead of adopting the budget in September.

Prosper ISD

Prosper ISD officials approved a tax rate of $1.2141 per $100 of assessed value. This is lower than FY 2024-25's rate of $1.2552.
