Several items being considered by the council add up to about $17.4 million in expenses for Frisco, according to city documents.
The specifics
The council could also decide to purchase a new HVAC system for the city’s Heritage Museum. The system and its installation are expected to cost $729,963, according to city documents. If approved, the system would be from and installed by the company Texas Air Systems.
VLEX Construction could also be awarded a $219,753 contract for sidewalk repairs at 78 locations throughout the city, if an agreement is approved by the council.
What else?
The council could also vote to spend about $16 million on water infrastructure projects in the city.
McMahon Contracting could be awarded about $2.5 million for the reconstruction of a water main on Kings Ridge Road. The work will include the removal and replacement of the concrete pavement, sidewalk, drive approaches and curb and gutter on the road, as well as the replacement of the existing 12 inch water main including all fire hydrant assemblies and valves.
Another $14 million contract could be awarded to Western Municipal of Texas for the installation of 10,000 linear feet of water line and a transfer valve along Parkwood Boulevard and Cotton Gin Road.
The work could increase capacity for water infrastructure in the area.
