Frisco’s planning and zoning commission approved plans for hundreds of multifamily units in the city’s North Fields development.

The commission approved a preliminary site plan for the development as part of its April 22 consent agenda. The plans also include two parking garages, a restaurant, office space and a neighborhood park, according to city documents.

The details

The preliminary site plan approved by the commission includes 776 urban living units.

All of these features will sit on about 78.5 acres of land on the northwest corner of Legacy Drive and PGA Parkway.

The new residential units will be part of the broader Fields development in Frisco, which includes Fields West. When complete, the Fields development will feature several residential neighborhoods, including North Fields, and house at least 10,000 residents.

The Fields development is expected to cost about $10 billion.

What else?

At its May 6 meeting, Frisco City Council will consider an agreement between Denton County Electric Cooperative, also known as CoServ, and the city of Frisco that will allow for the construction of a new sewer line for the North Fields development.
