More than 248,000 in-person and mailed-in ballot votes have been cast in Denton County ahead of the Nov. 5 election, according to the county’s election office.

The breakdown

Of the 248,342 ballots received, 8,893 were ballots returned by mail between Sept. 30-Oct. 27, according to Denton County election data.


Denton County has 664,288 registered voters, according to the county’s website. The early voting ballots cast represent a 37% voter turnout.

Ballots will feature several federal and state races as well as Denton County-specific races, which includes:
  • Denton County sheriff
  • Denton County commissioner, Precinct 1
  • Denton County constable, Precinct 6

Where to vote

Registered voters in Denton County are able to cast their ballots at any of the county’s 54 polling locations during the early voting period. Voting hours can vary for polling locations and are:
  • 7 a.m.-7 p.m. from Oct. 28-Nov. 1
