Multiple Frisco facilities, including the library, will close on May 27 in observance of Memorial Day, according to a May 17 city news release.

Here are all of city facilities that will be closed for Memorial Day:
  • George A. Purefoy Municipal Center and its administrative offices
  • Frisco Fire Safety Town
  • Central Fire Administration
  • Frisco Municipal Court
  • Frisco Heritage Museum
  • Frisco Discovery Center
  • The Grove at Frisco Commons
  • Frisco Environmental Services offices
  • Frisco Environmental Collection Center
The environmental services' household waste and electronic recycling drop-off will be closed May 27-28.

The public library and connection inside the Stonebriar Center will also be closed May 27, but the drive-thru book return will stay open, according to the release.

The Frisco Athletic Center will remain open but will operate under holiday hours:
  • General facility: 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
  • Play Depot: 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
  • Indoor and outdoor water park: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Anything else?


Recycling and trash collection will also see a schedule change with services pushed back one day, according to the release.

For example, if a resident’s service day is Monday, the refuse will be collected Tuesday instead. If a resident’s service day is Tuesday, it will be collected Wednesday.

All services will resume their normal schedules on June 3.
