With all precincts reporting in Collin and Denton counties, unofficial voting results show a majority of residents voted against both of the Frisco Fire Department propositions.

Proposition A would have introduced civil service to the fire department, which includes adding a three-citizen commission and standardized tests to assess the hiring, firing and promotion of firefighters.
  • For: 6,870
  • Against: 7,535


Proposition B would have introduced collective bargaining into the fire department, allowing representatives to negotiate for annual contracts and department rules with the city.

  • Against: 8,405

Collin County and Denton County have released early voting totals for Frisco Fire Department propositions A and B.

Proposition A would introduce civil service to the fire department, which includes adding a three-citizen commission and standardized tests to assess the hiring, firing and promotion of firefighters. Early unofficial results show:

  • Against: 5,224
Proposition B would introduce collective bargaining into the fire department, allowing representatives to negotiate for annual contracts and department rules with the city. Early unofficial results show:
