City Council members approved two contracts—one for video equipment, and one for annual computer software and records maintenance—for the police department during their Aug. 1 meeting totaling $789,178.
The breakdown
The first contract was for three years and $600,000 of annual maintenance and support for the department’s various public safety systems, including its:
- Records management system
- Public safety computer-aided dispatch system
- Mobile data computer
- 18 mobile in-car video recorders
- Accompanying body-worn camera accessories
