Children can learn how to build detailed designs with Lego bricks at the various camps at Bricks 4 Kids. The camps include “Minecraft,” Pokemon and “Star Wars” themes. One of the camps—Jumping, Mining, and Crafting—includes an hour at Urban Air Trampoline Park.

2. SMARTS
The learning center will offer summer camps that focus on science, technology, engineering, art and math. Activities include drama clubs, mental math, science labs and robotics.

3. 4 the Love of Dance
4 the Love of Dance offers three camps this summer. During Pop Star Camp, students will learn several different types of dance, choreography and how to let their personality shine through dance. Princess Camp is a week filled with learning the basics of ballet, tap and jazz to Princess music. End of Summer Camp includes activities such as games, crafts, photo booth, water games, a dance party and story time.

The program offers daily group music classes, private music lessons, a drawing class, children’s yoga, chess, and science, technology and engineering lessons.

5. The Artist Experience
Young artists can work on developing their artistic skills at any of the seven camps offered. The camps aim to help the participants work on techniques, including light, shadow, color and proportions. Each of the camps is broken up by age groups. All supplies are provided.

Frisco School of Music and Performing Arts offers music, art and theater camps throughout the summer. Each camp is geared toward a particular age group. At the end of each camp, the participants perform something they learned.

At this performance-based music camp, participants learn the basics of rehearsing in a studio, performing live and working with music professionals. Clinics, workshops and private instruction are all part of the package. The participants will put on a live show for guests at the end of camp.

8. Frisco Youth Theatre
In the Art and Drama Camp, participants will get the chance to work on visual arts projects, such as painting, pottery and sculpture, as well as performing arts skills, such as improvisation, movement and singing. In the Production Camp, participants will work on theater skills, such as acting, choreography and costuming. The camp will close with a performance each Friday.
