The Academy of Country Music Awards will return to Frisco in 2025.

The details

The 60th awards show will happen May 8 at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, according to a July 16 ACM announcement.

Reba McEntire, a 16-time ACM Award winner, will return to host the event. This will be her 18th time hosting the awards show.

Why it matters

A third party hired by ACM to assess the economic effects of the May 2024 event predicted the region’s economy will see a $31 million boost, Frisco officials said. About $21 million will be for Frisco alone.

In May 2022, just over 2,780 visitors brought an estimated $1.03 million to the Frisco economy. In May 2023, that number shot up by 1,001% to $11.34 million with nine times more visitors, the data shows. Frisco officials said one factor behind the increase in May was the multiple high-visibility events hosted in Frisco, such as the Academy of Country Music Awards.
