"It’s also about helping lead the Texas House of Representatives to benefit all Texans - and we do so from a position of strength," he said. "It’s time to get to work."
Johnston wrote while she may not have won this cycle she is looking to secure victory and a Texas Senate seat in the 2030 to set the stage for redistricting in 2032. This year the goal was to connect with voters, amplify Democratic voices in this district, and establish the groundwork for the wins that lie ahead, Johnston wrote.
"Thank you to everyone who contributed to this campaign, believed in our vision, and joined us on this journey. This is only the beginning, and with each cycle, our movement grows stronger. Together, we’re building a future where every Texan’s voice counts," she said.
