Republican Tracy Murphree, who is the incumbent, leads in the race for Denton County Sheriff over Democrat Fredrick Bishop with 226,245 or 60.11% of the votes. Bishop has garnered 150,123 votes.

Republican Ryan Williams, who is the incumbent, leads in the race for Denton County commissioner, Precinct 1 over Democrat Tommy Bedford. Williams earned 58.9% or 59,868 votes. Bedford gathered 41,782 votes.


Republican Richard Bachus, who is the incumbent, is the front runner for Denton County constable, Precinct 6 over Democrat Ransom Funches with 51.22%, or 22,766 votes. Funches received 21,681 votes.

In early voting, there were 381,991 ballots cast countywide, which represents 57.76% of Denton County's 666,074 registered voters. With Election Day results rolling in, 403,344—which is a 60.99% voter turnout—ballots in 83 out of 240 precincts reporting.

What you need to know


Republican Tracy Murphree, who is the incumbent, leads in the race for Denton County Sheriff over Democrat Fredrick Bishop with 218,660 or 60.15% of the votes. Bishop has garnered 144,848 votes.

Republican Ryan Williams, who is the incumbent, leads in the race for Denton County commissioner, Precinct 1 over Democrat Tommy Bedford. Williams earned 58.93% or 58,920 votes. Bedford gathered 41,060 votes.

Republican Richard Bachus, who is the incumbent is the front runner for Denton County constable, Precinct 6 over Democrat Ransom Funches with 51.22%, or 22,766 votes. Funches received 21,681 votes.

In early voting, there were 381,991 ballots cast countywide, which represents 57.76% of Denton County's 666,074 registered voters. With Election Day results rolling in, 389,115 ballots have been cast with 28 out of 240 precincts reporting.

Republican Tracy Murphree, who is the incumbent, leads in the race for Denton County Sheriff over Democrat Fredrick Bishop with 214,795 or 60.16% of the votes. Bishop has garnered 142,252 votes.

Republican Ryan Williams, who is the incumbent, leads in the race for Denton County commissioner, Precinct 1 over Democrat Tommy Bedford. Williams took an early lead with 58.99% or 57,817 votes. Bedford gathered 40,197 votes.

Republican Richard Bachus, who is the incumbent is the front runner for Denton County constable, Precinct 6 over Democrat Ransom Funches with 51.22%, or 22,766 votes. Funches received 21,681 votes.

In early voting, there were 381,991 ballots cast countywide, which represents 57.76% of Denton County's 666,074 registered voters.

Totals from ballots cast Nov. 5 have yet to be released. Polls closed at 7 p.m., although voters who were in line at 7 p.m. were still able to cast ballots.
