The race for Place 2 on the Frisco ISD board of trustees now has at least three candidates.

Marvin Lowe filed on Feb. 7 to run in the May 7 election, according to his election filing. Lowe works as a real estate broker, his filing stated. He has been a Frisco ISD resident for more than 14 years.

Lowe will face incumbent Natalie Hebert and challenger Kelly Karthik for the seat.

Candidates seeking places 1 and 3 on the school board will also be on the May ballot. As of 6 p.m. Feb. 11, six candidates have filed to run in the school board election:

In addition to the election filings, five other people have filed campaign treasurer appointments, which is among the first steps involved in running for elective office. Those filings were made by Brian Bash, John Davis, Michael Draper, Angela Dunford and Jennifer Stanley.
