The interactive version of the guide, www.vote411.org, offers a variety of tools. The website will allow Texans to: check voter registration status; find the races and candidates on their ballot based on their address; access and compare candidates' qualifications; access voting information and assistance; find polling locations and times; and create a printable personalized ballot to take to the polls.
"With the changes in election laws in Texas, voters really need simple, accessible tools to help them navigate the voting process before heading to the polls,” said Grace Chimene, president of the League of Women Voters of Texas, in a press release. “Vote 411 is a trusted, nonpartisan online election resource."
The voter guide can also be downloaded as a PDF for viewing or printing and is set to become available for use in libraries and other locations across Texas in early February.
