Three candidates have emerged for positions on the Frisco ISD board of trustees.

Candidate filings for the May 1 election were closed at 5 p.m. Feb. 12. There are two school board positions on the ballot.

Place 6 trustee John Classe filed for re-election and will not face a challenger. Place 7 trustee René Archambault filed for re-election and is set to face challenger Evelyn Brooks.

Board members in FISD serve three-year terms and are not subject to term limits. Candidates run for specific seats, but each trustee represents the school district at large, and they are elected by voters across the entire school district.

Early voting runs from April 19-27. Election day is May 1.
