The Frisco Chamber of Commerce will present a state and county primary election candidate forum at Grace Church Frisco on Feb. 13.

The forum will be split into portions for candidate from the Democratic Party and Republican Party, with candidates from both parties having committed to speaking.

The Republican candidate forum will begin at 6 p.m. Candidates who have told the chamber they will be attending include: incumbent Hugh Coleman and challenger Ryan Williams from the Denton County Precinct 1 commissioner race; Susan Fletcher, incumbent Collin County Precinct 1 commissioner; Kenneth Maun, incumbent Collin County tax assessor-collector; and incumbent Rep. Jared Patterson and challenger James Trombley from the District 106 state representative race.

The Democratic candidate forum is slated to begin at 7:15 p.m. Candidates who have said they will attend include: Sandy Swan from the Denton County Precinct 1 commissioner race; Courtney Brooks from the Collin County Precinct 1 commissioner race; Jennifer Skidonenko from the District 106 state representative race; and Shadi Zitoon, District 12 state senator candidate.

The event is free and open to the public. Grace Church Frisco is located at 8440 Grace St., Frisco, just behind the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center.


Election day is March 3, and early voting runs from Feb. 18-28.
