Collin College students will continue to pay the school’s current tuition rates for another semester, which are the lowest in the state, according to a March 28 news release from college officials.

The Collin College board of trustees voted to maintain the current tuition rates for the Fall 2025 semester at a March 25 meeting.

The specifics

The college’s current tuition rates are:
  • $67 per credit hour for in-district residents
  • $127 per credit hour for out-of-district residents
  • $202 per credit hour for out-of-state and out-of-country residents
The school’s in-district tuition rate is the lowest in the state, the release states. The rates are applicable for students regardless of what level of degree or certification they are seeking. The school offers over 200 degree and certificate programs, including four Bachelor’s level programs.

“I am proud to work for a district and with a board of trustees that looks at the bottom line when it comes to tuition costs,”Collin College district president Neil Matkin said in the release. “College degrees open many doors and are life changing for our students, but they must be in a position to finish their degrees and not go deep in debt to do so. Keeping college costs down is one way we can help them reach their goals.”

The decision is intended to further education affordability and accessibility, a goal of college officials, according to the release.

“Collin College is committed to providing an affordable and impactful education to our students,” Board of Trustees Chair Andrew Hardin said in the release. “As an institution, we are pleased to be able to continue with the district’s current low tuition rates to ensure that higher education remains accessible to our communities.”
