Frisco ISD staff and community members will have the opportunity to share feedback with the district related to the three bond propositions that failed in the Nov. 5 election.

The survey opened Dec. 19 and is available until Jan. 5, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Feedback from the survey will help FISD leaders understand the community’s perceptions of the bond and will help guide the district’s future, according to a Dec. 19 news release.

The survey can be taken here.

The background

With Frisco ISD’s student growth projected to slow down in the coming years, the district was looking to address its aging infrastructure through three bond propositions. Voters also saw a tax rate election on the ballot, which failed along with the three propositions. The item received 57.54%—or 63,186 votes—voting against the tax rate.

Proposition B included $986 million for refreshing campuses; constructing a new Staley Middle School; purchasing new buses; replacing furniture and equipment; among other costs. It received 52.09%, or 57,738 votes, against the item.

Proposition C included $88.2 million for a technology update to replace outdated devices. The proposition saw 57.03% of voters in opposition with 62,835 votes. Proposition D, which set aside $11.2 million to construct a tennis center of 16 outdoor courts for tournaments, had 73.10% of voters against the item with 71,484 votes.
