The background

FISD voters approved a $691 million bond package to provide funding that would build four new schools and maintain and repair existing facilities in November 2018. The bond program is intended to take the district through the end of the 2025-26 school year, according to the district's website.

Looking forward

FISD voters can expect a $1.08 billion bond package on the upcoming November ballot. The bond is broken down by three propositions that include refreshing 20 campuses that are reaching 25 years old, replacing outdated technology devices and constructing a 16-court tennis center.
