Starting later this month, Frisco ISD students, staff and family members can go to the district's onsite clinics to receive flu vaccinations.

The 2024-25 flu shot clinics will begin Aug. 26 and are scheduled periodically throughout the fall semester until Dec. 5. All participants must register online and bring copies of their insurance card, primary insured driver’s license and a completed consent form. A full schedule with times and locations can be found here.

What parents need to know

A parent or guardian must accompany students to participate in the clinic program.

Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana and United HealthCare PPO type plans will be accepted for flu vaccinations. Medicaid and CHIP can be accepted for children 18 and under, but select plans may not cover flu vaccinations. The cost of the flu shot will be billed to insurance.

The cost for those without insurance is:One more thing

Texas law requires children to be immunized against certain diseases to attend school in the state. Vaccination records are required to find out a student’s teacher at Elementary Meet the Teacher Night or to pick up a secondary student's class schedule.

More information on required vaccinations can be found on the district’s website.
