The overview
The summer transfer window is open from June 28-July 22. Students already registered with FISD can request to transfer to open elementary or middle schools.
Requests can be submitted through The Portal.
The details
Students in grades K-8 are able to transfer to campuses that have a projected enrollment of less than 90% of the campus’s enrollment capacity. A list of campuses open for transfer requests is available here.
Transfers requests will be considered on an individual basis, but a set of guidelines are followed for consistency. All transfers are good for one-year and requests must be submitted by families annually.
Rising seniors, who attended an FISD campus their entire junior year and would like to say, may submit a transfer request by 5 p.m. July 22.
