What parents should know
The district’s campuses are closed for winter break starting Dec. 22. Students return to school Jan. 9 before having another school closure Jan. 15 on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Students can expect a long weekend in February with school closed Feb. 16 and Feb. 19. Spring break will span from March 11-15.

What else?
The FISD board of trustees approved the 2024-25 academic calendar Dec. 11. The school year begins Aug. 12, 2024, with the last day of school May 21, 2025.
