Two new schools, Richard Wilkinson Middle School and Shana K. Wortham Intermediate School, opened for the school year and brought the total number of FISD schools to 77.
Wilkinson Middle School is FISD’s 18th middle school for sixth, seventh and eighth graders. Wortham Intermediate School is the district’s first school to only include fifth and sixth graders.
Looking ahead
Check out some important dates for Frisco ISD students.
- The first long weekend for students will be Sept. 1-4.
- Thanksgiving break is a full week during Nov. 20-24.
- Winter break starts Dec. 22 and classes will resume Jan. 9.
- The last day of school is May 17.
