Candidate filing closed on Feb. 17 for Frisco ISD’s board of trustees race. Four candidates are running for Place 4 and Place 5 on the May 6 ballot.

Incumbent Dynette Davis filed to run for re-election in Place 4. Davis is currently the board’s secretary and has been an FISD resident since 2012, according to the district’s website.

Davis will face Reed Bond, who has lived in the district for a decade and works as an IT project execution lead.

Place 5 incumbent Debbie Gillespie, who has been on the board since 2011, announced on Jan. 18 that she would not be running for re-election. Gillespie's term ends in June.

Melanie Barrios-Jones withdrew her application to run for FISD’s board of trustees, but she is still listed on the district’s website as of Feb. 17.
