The Pollo Tropical location in Frisco at 9055 John Hickman Parkway has closed, according to owner Fiesta Restaurant Group.

The closure is part of Fiesta Restaurant Group closing 10 Pollo Tropical restaurants, including stores in Southlake, Denton, Dallas and Watauga. The other location in Frisco at 11440 Dallas North Tollway is still open.

Fiesta Restaurant Group is also the parent company of Taco Cabana. Up to three of the closed Pollo Tropical locations will be rebranded as Taco Cabana restaurants.

According to Fiesta, nearly all employees at the closed locations will be offered positions at nearby restaurants.
