“We saw this as a wonderful opportunity to build on an already solid foundation and continue serving the Frisco community,” Vila said in an email. “The previous owners decided to sell in order to focus on other personal and professional endeavors, and they were kind enough to entrust us with carrying on the legacy. We are committed to continuing the tradition, following the original recipe book that have made The Community Grill so popular.”
Vila and two other co-owners took ownership of the restaurant in mid-July. Since then, they have launched new offerings, including a weekend brunch and lunch menu, a work day lunch menu, drinks menu with handcrafted cocktails and a late night menu, Vila said.
“Our goal is to enhance the dining experience without losing the charm and comfort that The Community Bar and Grill is known for,” Vila said.
Other upcoming changes could include an updated bar area, but any renovations will be gradual and thought out, Vila said.
“We’ve been working closely with the staff to ensure a smooth transition while introducing our own ideas,” Vila said. “It’s been a learning curve, but we are confident that we’re headed in the right direction and look forward to serving our guests for many years to come.”
