Caveirinha Jiu-Jitsu Family Academy opened on 8155 Custer Road in Frisco during the last week of January, said the academy’s manager.

The new east Frisco location is the business’s third academy in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Caveirinha Jiu-Jitsu Family Academy’s other locations are in west Frisco and Prosper.

Brazilian jiujitsu is a self-defense martial art that emphasizes grappling and ground fighting. For this new academy off Custer Road and SH 121, free trials and one-on-one introductions are available, according to CJJF’s social media.

“Our martial arts program aims to develop strong core values and social skills necessary to succeed in all aspects of life,” per the CJJF’s website.
