Dillas Primo Quesadillas in Frisco finds strength in ‘niche’ market, community connection

The name for Dillas Primo Quesadillas first came to owner and founder Kyle Gordon while he was watching the movie "Napoleon Dynamite" in 2004.

Fajita Pete's to open new location in Southlake

A new Fajita Pete's location is undergoing construction and is expected to open in September at 711 E. Southlake Blvd., Ste. 100, Southlake. The Tex-Mex franchise specializes in catering and offers a home or office delivery service. Other than fajitas, Fajita Pete’s serves guacamole, queso, tacos, quesadillas, burritos and salads.


El Fenix reopens in McKinney following COVID-19 temporary closure

El Fenix announced the reopening of its McKinney location Aug. 17. The restaurant, located at 3450 S. Central Expressway, McKinney, is now open for limited dine-in, curbside pickup and takeout options.

Velvet Taco plans fall opening on Park Boulevard in Plano

Velvet Taco plans to open a new Plano location in the fall at 5013 W. Park Blvd. The restaurant chain serves more than 20 varieties of taco with a variety of international influences. The company has seven other locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

New Chipotle location coming to Plano in 2021

Chipotle Mexican Grill plans to open a new Plano location in early 2021 at 6917 Independence Parkway, Plano. A company spokesperson confirmed the general timeline and said no additional info is available at this time. The fast-casual restaurant offers a variety of burritos, tacos, bowls and salads.
