Frisco City Council will review and consider a $14 million park expansion master plan update during its March 4 meeting. The Frisco Community Development Corporation unanimously approved a $7 million grant for a potential 1.44 acre expansion of Kaleidoscope Park, which is located in the Hall Park development. The Hall Group will fund the additional $7 million.
The expansion is proposed to include enhanced amenities and is expected to be a catalyst for economic development, according to the CDC agenda item.
The details
The updates to the park include:
- An interactive water feature
- An outdoor video screen
- A stage
The project, which will expand southward for the existing park, would be funded by the Hall Group and the FCDC. The park would be developed and maintained by the Kaleidoscope Park Foundation.
Kaleidoscope Park Foundation must start construction within 90 days following the city issuance of the park development permits, and construction must be completed within two years, according to the agenda

Kaleidoscope Park opened in Frisco’s Hall Park on Oct. 5.
The park comes from a private-public partnership between the city of Frisco and the Hall Group.
The park features a playground, splash pad, pavilions, performance stage and the largest sculpture in North Texas—"Butterfly Rest Stop."
