The Frisco Planning & Zoning Commission approved development plans for a Medical City Frisco expansion.

Open space and preliminary site plans for the expansion were approved by the commission at a June 9 meeting.

The approved plans will add a hospital, a medical office building and a parking garage across 10 acres on the southeast corner of Dallas Parkway and Main Street.

Medical City Frisco is looking to break ground on the expansion in summer 2021, according to previous reporting by Community Impact Newspaper.

Build-out on the expansion is a multiphase project that could occur over 10-15 years, said Matt Moore from ClayMoore Engineering at the meeting.
