Hyatt Regency Stonebriar is expected to be complete by spring 2020.

Hyatt Regency Stonebriar, a new hotel attached to Stonebriar Centre, is halfway complete.

Sam Moon Group and Brasfield & Gorrie celebrated the milestone with a topping-out ceremony April 12.

The 303-room hotel, located between Dillard's and Nordstrom, is expected to be complete by late spring 2020. It includes a 54,585-square-foot conference center with a grand ballroom, a junior ballroom and breakout spaces. A 3,000-square-foot space will also be dedicated to a city microlibrary.

Daniel Moon, Sam Moon Group vice president and general counsel, said the conference center will host a lot of conventions and meetings.

"When you have conferences, you have a lot of downtime," Moon said. "To be able to walk straight out of the conference and into the mall and have all of the dining choices ... and then to have all the entertainment choices ... and obviously all the great retail, we think it's going to be one of the most unique places to stay in all of Dallas."
