Hyatt Regency Stonebriar in Frisco hits midpoint in construction


Hyatt Regency Stonebriar, a new hotel attached to Stonebriar Centre, is halfway complete.

Sam Moon Group and Brasfield & Gorrie celebrated the milestone with a topping-out ceremony April 12.

The 303-room hotel, located between Dillard’s and Nordstrom, is expected to be complete by late spring 2020. It includes a 54,585-square-foot conference center with a grand ballroom, a junior ballroom and breakout spaces. A 3,000-square-foot space will also be dedicated to a city microlibrary.

Daniel Moon, Sam Moon Group vice president and general counsel, said the conference center will host a lot of conventions and meetings.

“When you have conferences, you have a lot of downtime,” Moon said. “To be able to walk straight out of the conference and into the mall and have all of the dining choices … and then to have all the entertainment choices … and obviously all the great retail, we think it’s going to be one of the most unique places to stay in all of Dallas.”
