Health officials in Collin and Denton counties confirmed two new case of COVID-19 April 28 in Frisco, including one in each county.

That brings the city's total to 134 confirmed cases, though 100 Frisco residents have recovered. Of the total cases in the city, 81 are from Collin County, and 53 are from Denton County.

Health officials in Collin County reported the deaths of a 102-year-old Plano man and a 90-year-old McKinney man on April 28. Both men had underlying health conditions and COVID-19.

"All of us at Collin County are saddened at the passing of a member of our community," Collin County Judge Chris Hill said in a news release.

County health officials also confirmed a total of 16 new cases of COVID-19 on April 28. With the new cases, the county has 692 confirmed cases. So far, 473 Collin County residents have recovered from the virus, and 19 have died, according to health officials. There are currently 200 active cases in the county.


Denton County Public Health announced April 28 that an additional 13 cases of coronavirus had been confirmed locally, bringing the county’s total to 738. Of those, 358 residents who were diagnosed with the virus have recovered, 360 cases remain active and 20 residents have died due to coronavirus-related reasons, according to public health officials.
