Regulations related to coronavirus has placed a limit group gatherings, including at essential businesses such as churches. As a result, some Good Friday and Easter services and events are taking new approaches in Frisco.

Below is a noncomprehensive list of Frisco’s church services and events taking place this weekend.

Events


Virtual Easter Egg Hunt

Play Frisco started a virtual hunt April 4, and it will continue through April 12. To play, participants must print and decorate Play Frisco’s Easter egg color sheets. Once completed, participants can hang their decorated sheets on their windows; then, the hunt to find other color sheets in the neighborhood begins. www.friscotexas.gov

Easter Drive Thru Experience

Elevate Life Church Frisco is hosting a free drive-thru experience for Easter on April 11 at 10 a.m. for all North Texas families at 8500 Teel Parkway, Frisco. From 10 a.m.-noon, families in their cars will enter the south side of the church’s parking lot and follow a route with fun, characters and a gift at the end containing Easter eggs and activities. https://elevate.life/easter

Centennial Church




The nondenominational church located on Coit Road will host an online Easter service April 12 at 10:30 a.m. www.centennialchurch.com

Elevate Life Church

The church is offering an online Good Friday service April 10 at 7 p.m. Live online streaming for Easter will begin April 11 at 6 p.m. and April 12 at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. https://elevate.life

Fellowship Church




Online Good Friday and communion experiences will occur April 11 at 5 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. for the church. Online Easter experiences will occur April 12 at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 5 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. https://fellowshipchurch.com

First Baptist Church of Frisco

The Baptist church will host an Easter service April 12 at 11 a.m., 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. through the church’s website, Facebook, YouTube or Vimeo. www.friscofirst.church

First Frisco United Methodist Church




Good Friday service will take place online for the Methodist church April 10 at 7 p.m., and Easter Service will occur April 12 at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. www.friscofumc.org

Hope Fellowship Church

The church with two Frisco locations, on Rolater Road and Main Street, will host online Good Friday services at noon and 6:30 p.m. Easter services will also take place online April 11 at noon and 6:30 p.m. and April 12 at 9:30 a.m., 11:15 a.m. and 7 p.m. www.easterathope.net

Preston Trail




The church with a Frisco location on Independence Parkway will host Good Friday services online April 10 at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Easter Sunday service will also be held online April 12 at 11 a.m. https://prestontrail.org

Providence Church

The church will host Good Friday service online April 10 at 5 p.m. Easter service will also take place online April 12 at 9:30 a.m. Videos containing a discussion guide and a kids’ worship video will be posted online as well. www.providencefrisco.com

Revelation Frisco




Easter service will take place online for this church at April 12 at 10 a.m. The kids' experience will also occur online after the main message from the pastor. Instead of the Easter egg hunt that Revelation Frisco had planned for Easter at the church, a virtual Easter hunt will challenge families to find 12 eggs hidden throughout the church’s website. Once all eggs are found, Revelation Frisco will send a prize to participants. https://revelationfrisco.church

St. Francis of Assisi

All masses and services will be livestreamed on the church’s YouTube and Facebook. Online services include a Good Friday Passion of the Lord in Spanish on April 10 at 3 p.m., a Good Friday Liturgy in English on April 10 at 7 p.m., a bilingual Holy Saturday Easter Vigil on April 11 at 8:30 p.m. and Easter Sunday masses April 12 at 10 a.m. in English and at noon in Spanish. www.stfoafrisco.org
