Acting Frisco City Council Member Dan Stricklin in late November said he will run for a seat on the Denton County Commissioners Court. He effectively resigned his Place 5 seat, according to the city of Frisco. State law requires the city to set an election date no later than 120 days from the resignation.

Voters in Collin County can cast ballots at any of the following locations.
- Collin College Frisco Campus, Building J, Room 113, 9700 Wade Blvd.
- Frisco Fire Station No. 8, Training Room, 14700 Rolater Road
- Frisco Fire Station No. 5, Training Room, 14300 Eldorado Parkway
- Frisco Fire Station No. 6, Training Room, 3535 Eldorado Parkway
- Frisco Fire Station No. 7, Training Room, 330 W. Stonebrook Parkway
- Frisco Fire Station No. 4, Training Room, 4485 Cotton Gin Road
All polling locations are open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m., according to the city website.
As of Jan. 25, a total of 3,002 out of 122,850 registered voters have participated in early voting, according to the city.
