Two Frisco City Council members are seeking another three-year term.

The filing period for the May 7 general election began Jan. 19. Frisco residents will decide who earns places 2 and 4 on City Council.

As of 5 p.m. Jan. 21, incumbent council members Shona Huffman and Bill Woodard both filed for re-election.

Huffman was first elected to City Council in June 2016 and is the director of community relations at Texas Health Hospital Frisco, according to the city website. She has been a Frisco resident since 2004.

Woodard was also elected to City Council in June 2016 and is the chief credit officer at Titan Bank, the website stated. He has been a Frisco resident since 2005.


The last day to file for a place on the ballot is Feb. 18. To register to vote, the last day is April 7.
