Sai Krishna filed Dec. 16 for the Jan. 29 special election. Krishna has lived in Frisco for more than four years. He works as a registered nurse and insurance provider, according to his election filing.
Most recently, Krishna sought Place 3 on City Council in the May 1 election.
Krishna will face Laura Rummel and Tracie Reveal Shipman in the upcoming special election.
The special election is to replace acting Council Member Dan Stricklin, who resigned Nov. 26 to seek a seat on the Denton County Commissioners Court.
Drawing for a place on the ballot will occur at 4 p.m. Dec. 21 in the Frisco City Hall Council Chambers.
The last day to register to vote is Dec. 30, and the last day to receive an application for a mail-in ballot is Jan. 18.
Early voting begins Jan. 12 and will run through Jan. 25.
